About Directory Services

Many vendors provide implementations. On the General Options page of the Map an Object window, the Directory Service drop-down shows a complete list of available vendors. The vendor list is comprised of the following:

• Active Directory Domain Service (Microsoft).
• LDAP: Generic and OpenLDAP (open source implementation).
• eDirectory (NetIQ).
• IBM Tivoli Directory Server.
• iPlanet Directory Server.
• Netscape Directory.
  Note: After a particular vendor is chosen, CSM displays that name (example: Active Directory) throughout the system.
