Map Comments to a Custom Business Object

For canonical Business Object Schemas that require comments, you must specify a Business Object to contain the comments using the CanonicalAPI attribute on a Relationship.

Tip: Journal is the out-of-the-box Business Object that is commonly used to contain comments.
  1. Create a Blueprint.
  2. Select a custom Business Object, then click Edit Relationships in the tasks pane.
The Edit Business Object Relationships page appears.
  3. Double-click on a Relationship. The Relationship must include a Business Object that can contain comments. For example, for a custom Business Object called Ticket, double-click Ticket Owns Journals. If no relationship exists, you can create a relationship using the Relationship Wizard.
    The Relationship Properties window opens.
  4. Click Advanced.
    The Advanced Options page appears.
  5. In the Attributes section, expand General.
  6. In the Attribute column, type CanonicalAPI. Leave the corresponding Value field blank.
  7. Publish the Blueprint, then run a Health Check for canonical compliance to ensure your mapping was successful.
