Define General Options for an E-mail Monitor
Use the General page in the E-mail Event Monitor window (accessed from the E-mail and Event Monitoring Manager) to define the general settings for the Monitor.
To define general settings for an E-mail Event Monitor:
Option | Description |

Name | Provide a name (this property can be searched in CSM Item Managers). |
Culture | Select the culture used by the
E-mail Monitor. If your system uses multiple cultures, you must create an
E-mail Monitor for each culture. For more information, see
Managing the E-mail Monitor for Multiple Cultures.
Note: This option applies to
CSM Globalization features. If only one culture is used in your system,
you can ignore this setting.

Monitor E-mail Account |
Select an e-mail account to monitor.
Tip: To view e-mails accounts for all Users in the
E-mail Accounts window, click
View>Show E-mail Accounts for All
Users. From this window,
create
e-mail accounts to be monitored, or edit or delete existing ones.

Define Account-Specific Settings This only applies if an IMAP or Microsoft Exchange account is selected as the monitored account. POP accounts do not have options for handling processed messages; they are always deleted. |
Select options for how to handle processed e-mails and e-mails that cannot be processed due to an error.
Note: If this option is selected, e-mails are left in the
monitored folder. Periodically clear the monitored folder to prevent
performance issues.
