Out-Of-The-Box Connector Integrations

Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) Connectors are built-in integrations that require some minor configuration to turn On/Off. CSM includes built-in tools/functionality specifically designed to help configure OOTB Connector integrations.

This section contains instructions for integrating CSM with the following OOTB Connectors:

  • KnowledgeBroker (KBI): KnowledgeBroker licenses an industrial strength Desktop Computer Support KnowledgeBase. It provides immediate answers to thousands of common questions about Desktop and Internet applications.
  • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol: Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is a protocol used to access information in a directory service (a directory stored on a server).
  • Microsoft Active Directory: Microsoft Active Directory® is a special-purpose database that stores data for objects in a network, including Customer information. Customer data from Active Directory can be imported into CSM to readily view account information such as full names, e-mail addresses, etc. for internal Customers.
  • Microsoft Outlook Add-In: The CSM Outlook® Add-In is a CSM client that enables you to interact with CSM Business Object Records directly from within Microsoft® Outlook®.
  • Security Assertion Markup Language: Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an XML-based open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between Identity Providers and Service Providers to support Single-Sign-On (SSO) capability.
  • Twitter: Twitter™ is an online social networking and microblogging service that enables Users to send and read text messages ("tweets") limited to 140 characters.
