OOTB Dashboards
The possibility for Dashboards is endless. However, to get you started, CSM provides the following OOTB Dashboards:
- Global IT Dashboard: Presents critical Business Object data and analytics (ex: Open Incidents and Tasks, team workloads, closure rates, etc.).
- My Work: Presents personal data and analytics (ex: Incidents and Tasks owned by you or your Team, status, etc.).
- Reporting Dashboard: Serves as an at-a-glance panel for running popular reports.
- Business Object Dashboards: Intuitively
organize critical Business Object data and analytics into real-time,
at-a-glance control panels. Examples include:
- Changes Dashboard.
- CMDB Dashboard.
- Incident Dashboards (Incidents Dashboard and Incident Details Dashboard).
- Problems Dashboard.
- Requests Dashboard.
- Supplier Dashboards.
- Tech Dashboards: Tech Dashboards are designed for service desk technicians, and provide personal workload and status information, available by individual, team, and queue (ex: Assigned records, assigned Tasks, breached SLAs, etc.).
- IT Management Dashboards: IT Management Dashboards are designed for IT executives, service desk managers, and technicians to provide strategic, tactical, and operational views of an IT organization.
- Portal Dashboards: Portal Dashboards are designed for Customers accessing the CSM default Portal Site, and provide Customer-specific at-a-glance information and navigation functionality, such as links to helpful self-service Actions (ex: Report an Incident, search Knowledge Articles and FAQs, etc.), a community discussion board, a list of open records (ex: Incidents and Problems), contact hours, etc.
- Mobile Dashboards: Mobile Dashboards are designed for mobile clients accessing CSM through Cherwell Mobile, and provide simple, at-a glance information and navigation functionality, such as Alert lists, open records, etc.
Use these OOTB Dashboards as-is, edit them, or create your own using the Dashboard Manager and Dashboard Editor.
