Mobile Records
Mobile records are different than their Desktop Client counterparts in that:
- The Mobile Forms are simpler, and list only a subset of Fields organized by Sections.
- Only a subset of Business Objects (records), Search Groups, and Actions/One-Step Actions are available. Availability is defined as part of the Cherwell Mobile settings.
- Records are updated through Mobile Actions/One-Step Actions, rather than by direct input.
- Mobile records take advantage of location awareness so records can be mapped and can display proximity.
- Mobile records take advantage of the device's camera so that Users can take/attach photos and scan barcodes.
