Configure SAML Security Rights

Security rights control access to CSM functionality and are configured in the Security Group Manager in CSM Administrator (CSM Administrator>Security>Edit Security Groups).

Right Description (when checked Check Box) Grant To:
SAML Cherwell Service Provider settings? Edit: Allows Users to edit the service provider settings so that you can configure CSM as a SAML Service Provider.
  • System administrators
SAML Identify Provider settings? Edit: Allows Users to edit the identity provider settings so that you can configure the SAML Identity Provider.
  • System administrators
System settings? Edit: Allows Users to edit system settings to enable SAML.
  • System administrators

Notes:

To configure security rights:

  1. Open the Security Group Manager in CSM Administrator. Click the Security category, and then click the Edit Security Groups task.
  2. In the Group drop-down, select the Security Group to configure security rights (example: Admin).
  3. Click the Rights tab.

  5. Click each Security Features right, and then select the appropriate check box to: Allow, View, Add, Edit, and Delete.
