Configuring Cherwell Mobile

Complete the following procedures to configure Cherwell Mobile. Configuration procedures are completed in CSM Administrator, the CSM Desktop Client, and on your personal mobile device.

To configure Cherwell Mobile:

  1. Configure Cherwell Mobile security rights: Configure who can access Cherwell Mobile functionality and data.
  2. (Optional) Create Mobile Forms: CSM provides several OOTB Mobile Forms, one for each of the standard Business Objects (ex: Incident, Problem, Change, Task, and Customer-Internal). Use these Mobile Forms as-is, edit them, or create your own using the Edit Mobile Form window in CSM Administrator (Blueprint operation).
  3. (Optional) Create Mobile Dashboards: CSM provides several OOTB Mobile Dashboards, including a default Mobile Alert Dashboard. Use these Mobile Dashboards as-is, edit them, or create your own using the Mobile Dashboard Manager.
  4. Configure Cherwell Mobile Login settings: Configure whether or not to "remember" User IDs and passwords on your mobile device.
  5. Configure Cherwell Mobile settings: CSM provides an OOTB mobile configuration (settings), which specifies which Mobile Dashboards (Home and Alert) to display by default, and which Business Objects, Search Groups, and Actions/One-Step Actions to make available. Use this OOTB mobile configuration as-is, edit it, or create your own. Settings can be defined Globally, by Role, or by User.
  6. Configure settings on your Android or iOS device: Configure rotation (iOS only), startup, and proximity settings.
