About Portal Forms

CSM allows you to create several different types of Forms for each Business Object, including:

  • Regular Forms: Main Form or Forms for the Business Object. By default, each Business Object has one Default regular Form; however, you can create as many as you need (example: Create an alternate Form with only specific details, create a specifics Form to data relevant to a categorization such as Printer Incident, or create a Master container Form that toggles between two smaller Embedded Forms. Typically, a regular Form is intended for detailed logging activities in the Desktop and Browser Client. Example Forms include:
  • Portal Forms: A Regular Form designed specifically for the Customer Portal to provide self-service record logging capabilities, such as an abbreviated Incident Form. Typically, Portal Forms are much simpler than the default Form used in the Desktop/Browser Client.
